木漏れ日: komorebi

It’s 1979. In nightclubs in the big cities of the U.S. and Europe, people are dancing to disco songs, sung by black women for queer audiences, discovering themselves along the way.

glitter . sweat . drag . desire
pulsing . rhythm . expression
sex . multifariousness

Above them the disco ball spins, reflecting their colours back at them, creating unity in diversity, as “everyone sparkled for a moment.”
D.A. Powell

creating . preserving . destroying . transforming

planets circle stars
Trees sway in the wind.
“every subatomic particle … is an energy dance; a pulsating process of creation and destruction.”
Fritjof Capra

Some people hate it when others dance.
